Disposition & Consulting
Monetizing the Value of Underutilized Assets
The Dartmouth Company works with numerous retailers and landlords on the disposition of excess properties. Our team brings knowledge of the highest and best retail uses with our comprehensive understanding current market conditions as well as retail voids in the market and by directly outreaching to potential users. While most of our expertise lies in subleasing or selling properties to other retailers, some cases have involved incorporating non-retail users in order to maximize property valuation.
Our team works closely with our clients to develop and execute a strategy based their objectives. Some of the clients that we have represented include Lowe’s, Wal-Mart, Barnes & Noble, Sears/K-Mart, and Realty Income. To best serve our clients we have established a Deal Management System, which provides a secure network for clients and the team to access information, documents, and status for any property.
We have represented Lowe’s with their excess properties since 2009. To date, we have closed over 100 transactions across 34 states. Currently, The Dartmouth Company remains the North Region account manager for Lowe’s Excess Properties and assists in the marketing efforts for former Lowe’s stores and outparcels.
