Big Night Live and Live Nation to Open Concert Club
Big Night Entertainment and Live Nation will open a $25 million 40,000-square-foot concert hall next fall at the Hub on Causeway project, now under construction alongside TD Garden. The venue called “Big Night Live” will accommodate 2,000 people and offer a 200-seat Mexican restaurant. The Dartmouth Company represented Big Night Entertainment in the transaction.
Matt & Nat Opens First Two U.S. Stores
Matt & Nat opens its first two stores in the U.S. at 242 Lafayette Street in Manhattan’s Soho neighborhood and at the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, NY. Founded in Montreal in 1995, Matt & Nat was created from the inspiration behind MAT(T)erial and NATure and the synergy between the two. Matt & Nat is committed to not using leather or any other animal-based materials and places a large focus on sustainability. The SoHo space was built out by design firm Edtoba.
Brothers Marketplace to Open in Duxbury Plaza, MA
Brothers Marketplace has signed a long-term lease for 20,000 square feet of retail space at Duxbury Plaza in Duxbury, Massachusetts. The market will feature a handpicked selection of fresh foods, local products, prepared meals, full service catering, and grocery essentials and is set to open in Summer 2019. The specialty market has existing locations in Medfield, Waltham, and Weston, Massachusetts.
Everbrook Academy Inks Two Deals in NJ
A new division of Learning Care Group, Everbrook Academy, has signed two leases in Closter, NJ and Holmdel, NJ. The corporately-owned daycare centers offer cutting-edge child care technology with STEAM, hands-on learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics. The two locations will be the first Everbrook Academy’s in the state.
Former Showcase Cinemas Property Sold in Seekonk, Massachusetts
The former Showcase Cinemas property in Seekonk, MA was sold for $3.7M to R.I. Seekonk Holdings, LLC and will be transformed into a multi-residential and condo development. Peter Considine, David Smookler, and Sugar Smookler were primarily responsible for the sale. Dartmouth has now assisted National Amusement, Inc. with sales of over $60 million of excess land over the past two years with several more transactions in the pipeline. The partnership that National Amusements and Dartmouth has built typifies the client focused strategic approach Dartmouth brings to client relationships.
Indochino To Open on Madison Avenue
Indochino, the global leader in made to measure apparel, is opening its third Manhattan location. Indochino will be joining fellow online retail upstarts, Jack Erwin, Untuckit and Bonobos at The Feil Organization’s 488 Madison Avenue. The establishment of brick-and-mortar stores by online retailers follows a growing trend of “clicks to bricks”. Indochino also operates two additional Manhattan locations in Soho and the Financial District with a total of 34 Showrooms across the US and Canada.
Bulletin Opens Third Manhattan Location
Women-led and NYC-based concept store, Bulletin, opened its third Manhattan location at 863 Broadway in Union Square. Bulletin was created as a space where women-owned internet brands could rent sections of the store month-to-month and sell their products in a physical retail location. Outside of Union Square, Bulletin has locations in Nolita and Williamsburg, with plans to continue to grow across the country.
Lindt Inks Deal in Herald Square
Lindt will soon be bringing its irresistibly smooth chocolate to Herald Square. The Swiss chocolatier has signed a deal to open its second location in New York City and join Amazon Books at 7 West 34th Street. Founded in 1845, The Lindt brand is available in 120 countries worldwide and is known for its incomparable, unique taste.
Wisefish Opens Second Location in Tribeca
Wisefish Poké has debuted its second Manhattan location at 412 Greenwich Street. Founded by friends Drew Crane and Bryan Cowan, Wisefish was established out of their mutual love for poké after traveling to Hawaii. Along with poké, the fast-casual serves food like Spicy Tuna Nachos, Crab Salad, and Mochi. They opened their first restaurant in Chelsea in early 2016.
The Shoppes at Latham Circle Is Pleased To Welcome Orangetheory Fitness
Orangetheory is a fitness concept that offers group personal training. Workouts are based on high-intensity interval training that ultimately combine cardiovascular and strength training into one. With locations in Albany, Clifton Park and Niskayuna, The Shoppes at Latham Circle marks the fourth location in the Capital District. This is the second transaction in which Dartco Albany has represented the landlord. Orangetheory is considered by the Franchise Business Review, as the second-best fitness franchise followed by Crunch Fitness.
Bestseller To Open Soho Showroom
Family-owned Danish clothing company, Bestseller, is relocating from its space in the Garment District to 96 Spring Street in Soho. The company plans to use the space as a showroom to display products to its wholesale clients. Bestseller provides affordable fashion for men, women, and children with a portfolio of over 20 different brands. 96 Spring Street is also home to athleisure brand Alo Yoga offering yoga, fitness apparel, and a coffee bar.
New Deals Inked at Needham Street Village Shops
Deka Lash, Beal Bank, and a dentist office have inked leases for 5,762 square feet at the Needham Street Village Shops. Launched in 2011, Deka Lash, which offers lash extensions, has become one of the fastest growing brands in the country. This is their first studio in the Metro Boston area. Beal Bank was founded in 1988 and comprises one of the largest private financial institutions in the US.
State & Liberty Opens First New York City Pop-Up
State & Liberty, an American menswear company that sells athletic fit performance fabric menswear, opened its first New York City location at 57 Spring Street in NoLita. The company was founded by two University of Michigan graduates who are on a mission to provide athletes a true fit dress shirt. State & Liberty’s product line includes dress shirts, polos, and overcoats. In addition to New York City, they currently have pop-up locations in Boston, Washington, D.C., and Chicago.
Bishops Cut & Color Opens First Barbershop in Manhattan
Bishops Cuts & Color, founded in Portland, Oregon, will open its first New York City location in the West Village at 10 Downing Street. The company offers a full service menu of cuts and color and fosters a culture where people can be their unique selves. Customers can expect a laid back atmosphere, curated music videos playing on TVS, and free beer (for those 21+). Bishops is emerging as a national presence in hair care with affordable prices, giving back to non-profits, and making self-care accessible to all.
